Hi, I'm Alex. I started in law, switched to media computer science and spent years figuring out where I actually fit in this industry.
The turn came when I learned Python. I wanted to stop waiting for someone else to fix my problems and start building my own tools. That decision changed everything.
It led me to Mackevision, Framestore and finally at Weta FX where worked on Avatar: The Way of Water and Shang-Chi. Avatar won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. For Breaking Point I built the open-source Pipeline Plex, and we won the VES Award for it.
After teaching at DNEG, ArtFX, FMX, SAE and CG Master Academy for years, I started the TD Academy to turn the exact path I took into a programme that works.

Amrit joined the Python for Maya masterclass as an animator. A year later she was working as an Animation TA at Animal Logic. The recruiter reached out to me before - she's been in animation pipeline roles there ever since.
