One of the most common questions I get is
"What is a Technical Director in Visual Effects, Animation, and Games?"
Being a Technical Director means to solve technical problems for artistic people. It can involve structure, workflows, scripting (with Python), testing workflows, creating templates and being creative yourself. If you are the laziest person in the room there is a good chance you're a Technical Director since you want to automate and simplify everything.
