The part about it rarely being your skills holding you back really hit home—I've definitely been there, questioning everything after a string of silent rejections. It's comforting to hear that timing and presentation play such a huge role. Speaking of training your eye for detail, I recently got hooked on this "guess game" that tests your color memory, which honestly feels like a fun way to sharpen the kind of visual precision recruiters in VFX might be looking for.
