Very challenging but also rewarding. The information is very well explained and the videos are a very good length and not unnecessarily long and drawn out. The homework assignments are very well designed in my opinion and really challenges the person to put the knowledge they used to applicable use cases instead of just storing information in the mind and probably to be forgotten later. The biggest thing I'd tell my friend is that it's definitely a commitment and not something to just learn by watching videos. What you get out of it is what you put into it.

I decided to take “Python Advanced” because I took another course from Alexander Richter and loved his teaching style. I also needed to take an additional course to improve my python skills in order to compete with professionals in my field. To begin, Alexander is passionate about coding and excels at teaching creative thinkers such as myself. I've tried learning to program from other teachers, books and online sources over the years, and I can say, Alexander is without a doubt the best programming teacher I have ever had. From my own personal experience, I didn't take any other classes while taking “Python Advanced”. I spent a minimum of 20 hours a week on this course (usually more) to understand the material and finish the problem sets. You need to have a good understanding of Python fundamentals for this course - this is not an intro class. I liked that the course was flexible - the instructor tailored the assignments to help me build a tool that I wanted to use for my own personal work. I later demonstrated that tool to a prospective employer in a job interview and it actually helped me land my current job.
